Aurora Apps / Daniel Steel ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our mobile applications (the "Apps").

By using the Apps, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We do not process, store, or collect personal user data beyond what is necessary for app functionality. The data collected includes:

1.1. Automatically Collected Data

  • Application Logs: We use Firebase to collect app performance logs, crash reports, and general analytics.
  • Key Identifiers: We may store encrypted and securely stored unique identifiers to enable core app functionality.

1.2. Photo Data

Headshot AI - Pro requires access to photos from your device to generate professional headshots. Photos you upload are:

  • Processed temporarily on secure servers to generate your AI headshots.
  • Automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours after processing.
  • Not used for training AI models without your explicit consent.
  • Not shared with third parties for any purposes other than AI processing.
  • Encrypted during transmission and processing.

You can disable photo access at any time in your device settings, but this will prevent the app from functioning.

1.3. Camera Access

The app may request camera access to allow you to take selfies directly within the app. Camera access is optional, and you can choose to upload existing photos instead.

1.4. Third-Party Services

The Apps may integrate with third-party services (e.g., Firebase for analytics and logging, cloud AI services for image processing). These services have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

2. How We Use Your Information

The limited data we collect is used to:

  • Process your photos to generate professional AI headshots.
  • Maintain and improve app performance.
  • Diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
  • Ensure secure authentication and app integrity.
  • Provide customer support when requested.

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

  • We use Firebase to securely store app logs and key identifiers.
  • All stored data is encrypted and protected using industry-standard security measures.
  • Photos uploaded for processing are encrypted during transmission and stored temporarily on secure servers.
  • Photos are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours.
  • We do not share your data with third parties except as required by law or for AI processing purposes.

4. Data Retention

  • Uploaded photos are retained only for the time necessary to process and generate your headshots (typically a few minutes).
  • Photos are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours.
  • Generated headshots are saved locally on your device and are not stored on our servers.
  • You can delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the app.

5. User Rights & Control

Since we do not store personal user data long-term, we do not provide account deletion requests. However, you have the right to:

  • Request information about what data we have processed.
  • Request deletion of any temporarily stored photos (which are automatically deleted within 24 hours).
  • Revoke camera and photo library access at any time through device settings.
  • Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Apps are not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. AI and Machine Learning

Headshot AI - Pro uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to process your photos. We want to be transparent about this:

  • Your photos are processed by AI models to generate professional headshots.
  • We do not use your photos to train or improve our AI models without your explicit consent.
  • AI processing is performed on secure cloud servers with encryption.
  • Photos used for processing are deleted within 24 hours.

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located in different countries. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Apps after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
