Midline: Face Proportions Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Midline: Face Proportions (the "App"), made by Aurora Apps / Daniel Steel ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Licence & Apple's Standard EULA

  • We license the App to you; we do not sell it. You may use it on iPhone devices that you own or control, for your own personal use.
  • Your use of the App is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/, which is incorporated into these Terms. If these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict, the Standard EULA applies.
  • Apple is not responsible for the App or for providing maintenance or support for it. We are responsible for the App and for support; you can reach us at support@aurorapps.com.

2. Use of the App

  • The App is provided "as is" with no guarantees of availability, accuracy, or reliability.
  • You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws.
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice.
  • Midline: Face Proportions stores your content on your iPhone. You are responsible for backing it up: if you delete the App or lose your device, we cannot recover your content.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • copy, modify, reverse engineer or decompile the App, except where the law allows it;
  • bypass or interfere with the App's purchase, unlock or security features;
  • use the App for any unlawful or harmful purpose, or in a way that could damage or impair it.

4. Purchases & Subscriptions

  • Midline Pro (monthly) is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks the App's premium features, which currently include:
    • Your results: 19 front measurements and 6 side-profile angles, each beside a labelled reference, never a verdict
    • A symmetry reading of your face against its own mirror, with the pair-by-pair breakdown behind it: geometry, not a verdict on anyone's looks
    • Side-profile analysis: nasofrontal, nasolabial and mentolabial angles, chin and lip position, jaw angle
    • Reliable mode: take several shots and keep the average with its spread
    • Progress: unlimited scans, a trend for any measure with its measurement-noise band, and an aligned before-and-after slider
    • PDF report of any scan, to keep or to share
  • The price and length of the subscription are shown in the App and on the App Store before you subscribe. Prices may vary by country and we may change them; where the law or Apple requires it, you will be asked to agree before a higher price applies to you.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your Apple Account settings, under Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. To ask for one, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will meet your needs.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AuroraApps/Daniel Steel is not liable for:

  • Loss of data, service interruptions, or technical failures.
  • Inaccuracies, bugs, or errors within the App.
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using the App.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and proprietary content, belong to Daniel Steel.
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without prior written consent.
  • You retain ownership of the content you create in the App.

8. Termination

We may terminate or restrict access to the App at any time if these Terms are violated. Upon termination, you must stop using the App.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and disputes will be settled in England.
